Krista Colthup has over fifteen years experience in the field of education. She started her educational consulting business in 2005.

Previously, she was Director of College Counseling for five years at King & Low-Heywood Thomas School in Stamford, CT. As Director, Krista established a comprehensive college counseling program and process for the school community. She has traveled extensively, visiting over 200 college campuses throughout the country and continuously networks with college counseling colleagues and college admissions officers.

Before that, Krista was Associate Director of College Counseling and Associate Director of Admission at King & Low-Heywood Thomas School. She also taught History and Social Studies at private schools in Connecticut and Pennsylvania.

Krista volunteers her time and expertise counseling students in the Horizons Enrichment Program based in New Canaan, CT. She also volunteers with the William E. Edwards Annual College Tour (WEE-ACT) in Stamford, CT.

She earned a B.A. from Stonehill College and an M.A. from New York University in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education.
